This bamboo rope roller is 3.5" (8.9 cm) tall and this pottery tool looks like a mini drum, hence the name. The 5mm rope creates large, bold diamonds.

Our Bambootools Rope Roller Tools were inspired by the cord markings on pots from the Jōmon period of neolithic Japan. The name Jōmon is derived from the “cord markings” that characterize the ceramics made during this time. Our rope rollers are made from durable, water-resistant bamboo.
These bamboo rope rollers are a simple way to create patterns and texture on clay. For the best results, use these rope rollers on soft clay or clay with a wet surface.
